About Us

the cellar 22 is a place to explore your taste buds to find the perfect companion for your palette. We offer many different styles, flavors, and price options in each of our offerings of wine, beer, and cigars.

We are a small family business owned by Amanda Espinoza, Virgil and Susan Ward. We truly love the City of Denton, and enjoy helping in the community as well as supporting the local universities. Some of our favorite activities include tailgating at the UNT football games, cheering on the UNT basketball teams, watching gymnastics meets at Texas Woman’s University and attending local festivals along with other community sporting events. We love watching Denton continue to grow into the amazing city it is.

Our original location was Bushwackers Wine Safari on Oak St. We wanted to bring the roots of our family to our new place. The name cellar 22 is derived from the county in Wyoming where we are from, which is number 22 – Teton County. We would not be who we are today without our heritage, so this is our tribute to our wonderful family.
